A Certified Copy is a recognised duplicate or your original Deed Poll, which will enable you to send original copies of your Deed Poll to the relevant organisations. It can take several weeks to receive your original Deed Poll back from organisations, therefore updating your records can take longer. Organisations will not accept photocopies. With 5 – 10 copies, you can update people like the Passport Office, DVLA, Banks, Mortgage Providers, TV Licensing, Employers etc quickly.
You have chosen no additional copies which means you will only receive one copy. You need to send this copy to multiple organisations. If this is lost you will need to reapply at greater expense. We recommend you add more than one copy.
You have chosen first class post which is very unreliable in the UK. We will obtain proof of posting of your Deed Poll. If the document goes missing in the post then this will be at your own risk. We recommend you upgrade your postal options to a minimum of recorded delivery.
You have chosen recorded delivery which cannot be tracked until delivery has been attempted. Royal Mail advise this service takes between 1-3 working days but it is possible it will take longer. We are not responsible for Royal Mail’s delivery times.
Having a document legalised with an Apostille means that the U.K. government will confirm that the signature, seal, or stamp on the document is genuine — so that it can be used in another country.
